FAQs

1- Do you have any recommendations for lunch and dinner?

Yes, we do! Go back to our Apartment’s Guidelines page and find them at the bottom (point 7)

2- Where would locals eat?

Lunch
  • Very traditional dishes: Picantería del Inca
  • Pork specialties (adobo soup as a late breakfast or lunch and fried chicharrón as lunch): Yoli
Dinner (only fast food options – most people don’t normally eat dinner in Cusco)
  • A Cusco classic: salchipapa at Don Lucho
  • A classic for anticuchos: Condorito
  • The famous “pollo a la brasa” (one block from the football stadium): Sumaq
  • Traditional grill (anticuchos and others): Miguelito

3- Is there a supermarket nearby?

The closest one is a mini-market called Mary  (well stocked)

The closest big supermarket is Plaza Vea

4- Is there a laundry place you recommend?

Try with Mandy or Katya: both are very close

5- Where can I get my cash exchanged?

Find exchange agents with very good exchange rate where Av el Sol meets Ayacucho (15 minutes from home on foot): LINK

6- Is there an ATM nearby?

The closest ATM is in Plazoleta San Blas (BCP bank) only 5 minutes away on foot.

If this one is out of cash, we recommend going to Plaza de Armas or Av. el Sol

7- Is it safe at night around here?

This is a safe area, but we still recommend avoiding long night walks (after mid-night). Take a taxi instead.

8- Any agency you’d recommend to go on tours?

We coordinate day tours in and around Cusco (Vinicunca, Humantay, Sacred Valley and more). Check our website.

9- I need to see a doctor. What can I do?

We recommend going to a travel clinic where they will accept your travel insurance. You can go to: Gold Medical Clinic
