Discover the iconic Peruvian Rainbow Mountain, with its magical, symmetrical stripes of red, blue and green!

The tour for the Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain starts early, before sunrise! After a drive of about 1.5 hours, the group will have breakfast in the town of Cusipata (tip: don’t eat too much – the full stomach makes the hike harder!). After that, we continue our drive for another 1.5 hours before reaching the check-point and start the ascension. The hike is not difficult per se, but altitude makes it pretty tough, even for seasoned trekkers. It takes about 1 hour to get to the top, but the view is totally worth it!

As we reach an altitude of 5.000 m. above sea level, you might feel out of breath. It is possible to hire a horse to help you out on the way up.

After the hike, the group will have a buffet lunch in Cusipata before heading back to Cusco.

The tour starts at:

4:00 am to 5:00 am (the pick up time will be confirmed the day before the tour around 6-8pm)
